HEAT LEVEL: Hot & Spicy (7-8)
Commonly used in powdered form for sauces, soups, stews, stir fries and and other Asian recipes. Chile de Arbol is bright, brick red in color, thin fleshed and has a smoky, grassy flavor. The acidic heat of this pepper can be felt on the tongue. Keep your dried chile in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry, dark place for up to six months or more. Also available in powder.
